Waiting for the Wyrms

That Tower would sure look bigger...

When we last left our heroes, our mildly inebriated wizard was discussing the phallic nature of the tower that stood before them. The group left the boats and headed up the banks into the forest. Hector seemed to trip as they neared the top. The muddy bank gave way beneath him and he tumbled back to the boat. The wizard shook himself off and ran to the top of the hill, seemingly to rejoin his comrades. He stopped short, proceeded to turn around and purposefully tumble back down the hill… repeatedly…

Locks looked to Mirrorhilt, asking what they should do. The consensus seemed to be to leave him to his vices and trudge on to the tower. With a wry grin, Rendar looked to the other two, “What are the odds he’s still doing this when we get back?.” With a chuckle, the group took to the road through the forest.

The trip to the tower was uneventful and the group came to a clearing around the area. Attempting to infiltrate the tower, guarded by both orc and drow, Hilt, disguised as a drow spoke with the lone visible guard. After some confusing conversation, in which the question was asked “Are you have cheese on the tower?” the drow caught on to the imposters and attempted to flee to warn his kin.

Quickly Locks was able to snipe the sentry from his post on the roof of a nearby building, however the spider familiar of the guard was able to warn the orcs behind the building and a ruckus soon broke out. After dispatching the guards, the group entered the tower.

A stone carving to Bane adorned the center of the main floor, as well as a pool to the back of the room. There were stairs leading in either direction. The group took the low road, heading to the crypts.

After perusing a few mausoleums, some incoherent mumbling was noticed. It was the rambling of a seemingly insane Orc Necromancer, who had brought some minion skeletons back and was babbling about “Never taking her from me.”

The necromancer never stood a chance, the group dispatching him with ease and freeing Andrelan, a man who identified himself as a member of the Silverymoon guard.

The Story Thus Far...


When arriving in Silverymoon the group is ushered up to meet with Methremmar. They meet in the great hall, with the Court of Lords of the Silver Marches present:

Silverymoon – Erethel Issenar
Sundabar – Peshar Desann
Adbar – Manden Morannenar

Methremmar notes tot he party that the trade routes between the cities to the east have been compromised. News of Grey Orcs from the northeast raiding the routes. Notes reports from the Moonwood that there are a high concentration within the Lonely Tower.

After careful consideration, the group looks toward Sundabar as their next stop. On the road, Zartail begin to circle the wagons. The group, through some quick thinking and ingenious tactics, along with the help from a large rock, dispatch the lizards and arrive in Sundabar.

In a hungover stupor, the group meets with Etre Rendellian, Steward of the City. He notes that there have been attacks coming southeast out of the Moonwood and that they have received word from Citadel Adbar that the Mithral Hall dwarves had contacted the Citadel and that all was in good hands to the north.

The party took to the river to investigate some strange happenings up near the lonely tower. As the group hit landfall near the tower, Hector made an astute observation; “If they trim the trees, the tower would look bigger.”


After banishing a group of orc raiders, headed by the secondson of the Del’Armgo house, the party was found by a group of wandering dwarves, Reddin Silvermantle and four Battleragers, out on the lookout for them. Upon encountering the group they asked to take the Scroll back to Mithral Hall for safekeeping.

Reddin had asked the group for assistance, tasking them with tracking down any leads to the increase in Orc and Drow activity in the region. The party, so inclined accepted the invitation, as well as the gift of Moradin’s favor, in the form of Dwarven forged weaponry and armor. Dangrim left with the Dwarven contingent, back to his homeland, leaving the group to continue on their mission to Silverymoon.

Forging on toward the city, the group, still passing as bodyguards on the caravan, passed through Everlund, which was heavily posted with guards of the Silver Marches. The guards heavily questioned our compatriots and allowed the group through, on word that their mission was at the behest of Banak Brawnanvil, 12th King of Mithral Hall.

Shortly behind the guardlines, the group was frightened by and summarily encountered Beau, the draconic familiar of High Lord Methrammar, beckoning them toward the city. As the flighty pseudo-dragon carried out of sight, the group was ambushed by a raiding party of Orcs and wolves, who seemed to be hunting for someone…
